Vodka

The traditional liquor of Russia and Poland, vodka is a colorless, almost tasteless liquid made by distilling a mash of grain, sugar beets, potatoes, or other starchy food materials. The name is the Russian diminutive of voda ("water"). Some Russian and Polish vodkas are flavored by steeping aromatic grasses, berries, fruit peels, or seeds in the liquid.
